Description:
Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering (MITE) was established in the year 2005 by Mr. Rajesh Chouta under Rajalaxmi Education Trust, Mangalore. The institute is located in Mangalore, Karnataka. The institute is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum and is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
Campus Infrastructure:
The college infrastructure includes seminar hall, conference hall, library, computer centre, laboratories, ground, hostels, etc. The college provides uncompromising infrastructure and has all the amenities required by an engineering college.
Facilities:
It provides facilities like well stocked library with 12000 books and periodicals, spacious & well lit classrooms. It also provides ground for the sport enthusiast students. The canteen provides hygienic food to the students and staff at reasonable rates. All the basic food amenities are available here. It provides seperate hostels for both boys and girls with all the modern facilities within the campus. It also provides transport facilities to the desired students.

The institute places its students in various reputed company like HP, IBM, Siemens, Bosch, Birlasoft, HCL, HDFC, Syntel, ING Vysya life insurance, KPGM, Oracle, Tata AIG Life, Infosys, Nandi Toyota and many more.
Courses:
It offers various courses like Electronics & Communications Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Information Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering and Civil Engineering.
Courses
B.E (Computer Science & Engineering)
Duration:- 4 years
Eligibility:- Admission for the first year of the course shall be open to students who have passed the two year Pre- University examination conducted by the Karnataka State Pre - University Board or any other examinations recognised by the University or equivalent thereto, with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Admission Criteria:- Admission through CET entrance exam and councelling conducted by the Govt. of Karnataka.or COMEDK entrance exam

B.E (Electronics and Communications Engineering)
Duration:- 4 years
